THK Cross Roller
The THK Cross Roller Ring is a roller bearing with high rotation accuracy capable of bearing loads in every direction. Because it has orthogonally arranged cylindrical rollers, it can bear loads in every direction.
THK Cross Roller Rings
With the THK Cross-Roller Ring, cylindrical rollers are arranged crosswise, with each roller perpendicular to the adjacent roller, in a 90゜V groove, separated from each other by a spacer retainer. This design allows just single bearing to receive loads in all directions including, radial, axial and moment loads. Since the Cross-Roller Ring achieves high rigidity despite the minimum possible dimensions of the inner and outer rings, it is optimal for applications such as joints and swiveling units of industrial robots, swiveling tables of machining centers, rotary units of manipulators, precision rotary tables, medical equipment, measuring instruments and IC manufacturing machines.
The structure and specialty of THK Cross-Roller Ring:
1. In the cross ball ring, the cylindrical balls are arranged vertically with each other through the clearance holder on the rolling surface of the V-groove with 90 degrees. This design allows a single bearing to withstand loads in all directions, including radial, axial and torque loads.
2. Despite the miniaturization of the inner and outer rings, the cross ball shaft is still of high rigidity, so it is most suitable for industrial robot joints or rotating parts, machining center machine rotating table, manipulator rotating part, precision rotating table, medical machine, measuring instrument, IC manufacturing equipment and so on.
